Made with three layers of 100% dead stock cotton fabric, these limited edition, hand block printed masks are re-useable and washable.
These non-medical grade masks have been sewn in the USA by a women-owned social enterprise that hires marginalized individuals to do sewing production. The most recent group of hired employees are formerly incarcerated people who, during their time in prison, were trained to sew bedding and apparel for the prison system. These individuals are very well-trained but often have trouble finding work after they are released. They come highly recommended by staff in the prisons, transitionary staff, or by their parole officers. In addition, this operation recycles all fabric scraps that is made into either a mixed fiber fabric used for various stuffing uses or is recycled into paper.
For hygienic reasons, all face mask purchases are FINAL SALE.
- pleats should face down when in use.
- because all garments are made by hand, slight color differences and imperfections between fabrics are expected. these differences enhance the beauty of our textiles and are celebrated. some natural dyes, especially indigo, may bleed and transfer.
- we recommend washing separately by hand and air drying. a hot iron on the pleats will straighten out any wrinkles after washing.
